BruhnBruhn Innovation selected for NATO DIANA Mission Track

We are excited to announce that BruhnBruhn Innovation has been selected as one of 15 companies advancing to Mission Track in the NATO DIANA Programme, making us the first Swedish company selected for this stage of the programme.

Mission Track is a follow-on element of DIANA’s Accelerator Programme for companies demonstrating strong defence interest and alignment with Allied operational needs. From DIANA’s 2026 cohort of 150 companies, 15 innovators have been selected to continue into Mission Track, receiving additional funding and targeted support to move their technologies closer to operational readiness and adoption across the Alliance.

Bringing cloud-native computing to the space edge

Our solution, Dacreo, is a cloud-native mission service layer for space. It brings a Kubernetes-compatible runtime, onboard AI, and S3 storage to space-qualified computing hardware, allowing satellites to be tasked, updated, and operated using the same containers, tools, and pipelines used in data centres on the ground.

By moving processing closer to the sensor, Dacreo enables spacecraft to process data onboard and deliver relevant information rather than relying on the transfer of large volumes of raw sensor data through constrained or contested links.

Dacreo was selected under DIANA’s Resilient Space Operations challenge area.

Throughout our first six months in the DIANA Accelerator Programme, we had the opportunity to engage with Allied end users and experts who helped us iterate our solution towards specific capability needs. As we move into Mission Track, our focus moves from discovery towards implementation and adoption.

Two priorities will guide that work.

Interoperability and standards. NATO has already demonstrated the value of federated cloud architectures on the ground. We intend to extend that federation to the space edge by aligning Dacreo with relevant NATO standards and interfaces. In parallel, we are contributing to open cloud-native space operations interfaces through the Digital Space Consortium, where BruhnBruhn Innovation is a founding member.

Adoption and procurement. We are working to make Dacreo straightforward to specify, integrate, evaluate, and procure through NATO, NSPA, NCIA, national Ministries of Defence, and prime contractor routes. This work will be supported by testing, evaluation, verification, and validation activities, as well as operational experimentation with Allied end users.

Mission Track represents a significant milestone in our acceleration and adoption journey with DIANA. We are proud to continue working with DIANA and Allied stakeholders to bring Dacreo closer to operational use and contribute to strengthening the Alliance’s defence and security capabilities.
